The US president is here in the UK [03/06/19] for a state visit, the highest honour for a visiting leader of a foreign country. It usually involved a speech in parliament, then a ride to Buckingham palace in a carriage with the Queen, a dinner at Buckingham palace and then a stay at the palace. Basically, Britain does what it does best, put on an expensive show to mask the mess of our domestic politics [aaaaaaah].
However, John Bercow, speaker of the house of commons, said almost a year ago that he wouldn’t be approving a speech at parliament, there was no ride to Buckingham palace because of the fear of protesters and apparently…. there aren’t enough rooms at Buckingham PALACE…
Welcome to the UK, Mr Trump. Hope you don’t enjoy your stay.
This makes me proud.
Ok but the guy who drew a COCK in his garden, fucking maestro!
Oh, buddy! No! No, this was near Stansted Airport, where Trump’s plane landed this morning, so with any luck he would’ve seen this as he was landing.
I remember that the Trump Baby balloon was flown the last time he came to the UK and he described it as making him feel “unwelcome”. Good, we know it’s done it’s job and it’s flying again. You aren’t welcome here, you racist tangerine
Yeah, it is flying again. With some marvellous new additions!
(he called Sadiq Khan, mayor of London, a ‘stone cold loser’)
He initially refused to acknowledge that it’s happening, then said the protests were ‘small and fake news’.
Whilst I’ve got you all here, I wanted to mention that soon our unelected prime minister will be THIS man,
This man is Boris Johnson. Yes, he looks a lot like Trump. However, he is the original™. Yes, he is a colossal idiot. No, the majority of us don’t like him. British politics is confusing, there’s not going to be a nation wide election but he will most likely become PM by mid June (if you’re interested in how this works, you can send me an ask). As we stand up against Trump these few days, we hope you will join us in standing up against Boris. Solidarity against racist idiots with stupid hair that nobody voted for.
“Coppola will release the film himself Stateside, doubtless to marginal returns, and in the long run, ‘Tetro’ likely will be most remembered for introducing a highly promising young actor, Alden Ehrenreich.”—Variety (May 13, 2009)
